I just picked up a D-Link DI-524 802.11g router at Best Buy two days ago. Perhaps not the most feature-rich router out there, but there were 40 dollars in rebates, bringing the price to $20. At that price I figured I could make a foray into wireless networking in my house. So far it seems to be working well. It was very simple to set up, and it seems to provide reasonably good coverage. No problems yet!

Given that you already know PHP and javascript, you just need help with the Python syntax. I looked up removing duplicate lines in a file on google:
http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=python+remove+duplicate+lines+from+a+file
I got this hit:
http://metadeveloper.blogspot.com/2007/07/remove-duplicate-lines-in-python.html
Or this:
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1215208/how-might-i-remove-duplicate-lines-from-a-file
Try that and start building up your scripts from there.

Are you trying to ftp to a windows box with firewall enabled, but not configure properly for ftp? That is exactly what happens.

I picked up an iPad because I had to support it for a client that picked up 20 of them. The company paid for it so I didnt mind but figured I would noodle around with it enough to learn the interface and then it would collect dust. The more I used it, the more I liked it and as I worked on the project for the client to replace their notebooks for travel, I found I was mostly able to replace mine as well. Now I carry it everywhere. After my wife got ahold of it and starting playing around she wanted one too...so now I have 2 of them. Unless there is a huge speed bump with the next version I cant see myself "upgrading" immediately though, the nasal cam just holds no interest for me and it looks like the resolution is going to be the same. My guess is that like my macbook and imac I will likely be on an every 2nd or 3rd generation upgrade cycle. I do have kids wanting ipads now too though, so who knows maybe ill upgrade next time around and use the excuse of more memory (I have a 32gb now but would love to have a 64gb) and pass mine on to the kids.

I know a lot of people are worried about not receiving their copy by the 26th, though - as am I.
Guess we'll see, but I have confidence Apple can manage to mail a disc in time. I'm just wondering if they are planning on overnighting them or trying to time it out via slower mail. Overnighting probably wouldn't be that expensive for them with their quantity discount and for such small packages. At least I have the benefit of being in major city, a couple miles from the airport, and within walking distance of the distribution centers for USPS, UPS and FedEx. :)

Now I'm wondering, they say the first 500 people there will get a free T-shirt, is that the first 500 that actually buy Leopard, or the first 500 that walk into the store? I ordered online, and because of the issues with not being sure whether MacMall is going to ship it and have it to me on Friday, I'm still teetering with cancelling the order, going to the store, buying it with my student discount and getting the free T-shirt.I'll be at the Palo Alto Store by about 2PM with my copy from a nearby college bookstore that I'm getting for $69 before 2PM. That should put me near the front of the queue.
I go to the store for the party social part and get in line even though I am not going to buy it there so I can get inside the store to play with it on one of the Macs inside. I'll have my old G4 PB with me and will be installing it while I'm in the queue from the copy I buy earlier at a college store nearby.
Pretty sure you have to buy a $129 copy to get the T-Shirt.

I have sent an email to my manager here at Gateway with a link to that article to see if we can get iPods to keep up with Dell. I will be interested to see what they say. "Ah... well ...hmmm... maybe if we hadn't run those ads bashing the iMac... damn."
Guess maybe you should be careful who you go around trashing on TV.

Another factor I think that effects the different resale value is the fact that the MBP is portable.
Since the MBP is carried around there is a high chance that it had a small bump or two. Which lowers the resale value. While the MP is in a single place (for most people) and thus the case is still in "perfect" condition.
Another thing is that the MBP has a battery that after a few recharge cycles it would start to deteriorate thus reducing it's functionality and resale value. Depending on it's cindition the buyer would need to send the MBP to Apple to have it replaced extra cost on the buyer.
This is what I think. If I would buyer a second hand MBP I would take these factors into consideration apart from the usual dilemmas about it's CPU and the rest.

I modded mine just recently with the Wiinja chip, and it was worth every penny (even if it was a gift). :)
I'd be happy to answer any questions.
Isn't that the mod that lets you play downloaded roms off the internet?

My brother lost his original iPhone 4 last week, and the insurance replaced it.
I just bought a white iPhone (even though I have a black one & hate white). The reason is due to its greatly improved new antenna. The white is thicker due to the improved antenna.
When compared to the brand new black one my brother got, the white is far better. The difference is so dramatic, nothings been changed on the Antennagate black phone. That's a total shame.
I was shocked, yet happy I could finally buy an iPhone 4 I'm happy with. One that has a good useable phone that doesn't drop calls or break up.
My black Speck Pixel Skin case fits good since it was a bit loose on my black one.
I'm so relieved and happy to have a great iPhone now.
this proves nothing other than build quality varies between phones. it's been shown over and over: the added thickness is not due to an antenna change, but a thicker plastic bezel around the screen, probably for light bleed.
the most they would have done this late in the game is add a clear coating to the exterior antenna band to prevent 'capacitive' shorting across antenna sections, or improve the build quality. nothing to do with how thick the phone is.

You can install Snow Leopard client from a USB stick. You can google for instructions on how to prepare a USB stick.
A clean install of Snow Leopard would be ideal unless you're moving from an old Mac and would rather not setup and configure everything again.
Or Do what I am thinking of doing after the next Mini refresh, just buy an external USB CD/DVD for $30

Its also the buggiest thing on the OS, it disables typing after a few minutes, doesnt want to load web pages some times, and everytime you skip around in a flash video it starts it as a new download without killing the old one meaning youll end up with a bunch of FLV's being downloaded at the same time killing your bandwidth and having your video stopped on sites that dont allow multiple connections.

eyelike art is still around, ambitiouslemon is on sabatical, kela posted last in April, spikey might be around under a different name, he hasn't been seen in quite some time, and blakespot is off doing his own thing, although I think he still helps arn with the site.
I don't fall under the 'old skool' banner, but I've been around longer than most these days. But maybe you should try a reunion thread, only for anyone who's of a certain age.
