I want to add an mp3 file into my project. It adds fine, however it stops playing after about ten seconds. Garage band shows that the whole file is still there, but it is limited to the first ten seconds.
Please help this is quiet frustrating.

The Gorillaz love to experiment and Damon Albarn mentioned himself that he loves to challenge himself whist creating his works. In other words, this will not be a continuing trend. I doubt very much will other artists will follow suit.
That said: touche. I can't believe I missed that. I think I need to strike out the word impossible and put impractical.
I fully agree that this won't be a mainstream endeavour. I just had to object to the "Impossible" claim. ;)

I can remember much smaller disk drives, under 100MB that used 14 inch diameter patters and hydraulic pistons to move the read/write heads. The disk drive was about the same size and shape as a home washing machine. This was in the early 1970's.
Can we go back to floppy drives? I love the way those 5 1/4" floppys.. ummm flopped :)

Phil Schiller, Steve Jobs, and Scott Forstall at iOS 4 introduction (Source: CNET (http://news.cnet.com/8301-30252_3-20002084-246.html))
Earlier today, All Things Digital conducted a telephone interview with Steve Jobs and other Apple senior executives, covering the location tracking controversy (http://www.macrumors.com/2011/04/27/steve-jobs-interviewed-on-location-tracking-issues/) and white iPhone 4 delays (http://www.macrumors.com/2011/04/27/steve-jobs-and-phil-schiller-on-white-iphone-4-delays/). All Things Digital has now followed with a full, edited transcript (http://mobilized.allthingsd.com/20110427/qa-jobs-and-apple-execs-on-tracking-down-the-facts-about-iphones-and-location/) of the portion of the interview covering the location tracking issue.
In the full interview, Jobs discusses why it took Apple nearly a week to respond to the issue, noting that the company needed to take the time to investigate the situation and figure out how best to relate the information to the public."We're an engineering-driven company," Jobs said in a telephone interview Wednesday. "When people accuse us of things, the first thing we want to do is find out the truth. That took a certain amount of time to track all of these things down. And the accusations were coming day by day. By the time we had figured this all out, it took a few days. Then writing it up and trying to make it intelligible when this is a very high-tech topic took a few days. And here we are less than a week later."Most of the other points of the interview were covered in the earlier highlight piece, but the full transcript also includes new details about how the location database works and about Apple's views on user control over location services.
When pressed on what services Apple might be developing using location information, Jobs referred only to the potential traffic service (http://www.macrumors.com/2011/04/27/apple-hints-at-future-turn-by-turn-gps-directions-with-traffic-for-iphone/) disclosed in the official Q&A, declining to expand on that with additional information or possibilities.

My niece just noticed a crack on her iPad 2. She didn't drop it, she takes great care of it and she is a responsible adult. Has anyone else noticed an issue like this?
Post some pictures to help highlight the problem.

I don't remember paying anything for those. Look them up if you have the time. If I knew how to take just the icon out of the set and post it, I would. Sorry.
Thank you. I was able to go to below link and download them for free and changed it. Thanks a ton!!!

You know when you start up your mac for the first time the music plays as welcome written in all those different languages goes by? Well does anyone know what song is playing during that? I really like the song and I was hoping someone maybe knows.

Good God Edesign you caught that Napster double post in less than a minute.
Luck of the draw. Just got back from getting lunch, hit "New Posts" and it was sitting there. With more of us around things *should* get caught quicker.

I realise that they didn't want to detract from the phone or the t.v. box but they could have made some offline comments about availability of iWork and iLife.
It just seems incomplete.

Occam's Razor (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Occam%27s_Razor) does dictate that the explanation Apple has offered up is the most likely. Unlike what some other blogs have been claiming (:cough: Gizmodo :cough: ) it's unlikely that Apple meant to leave an unencrypted tracking database available on each phone.
Further, I examined a map of my iPhone's database and there were some unexplained blobs. Unexplained that is until I read Apple's description, and then it all fit. I flew through Atlanta 4 times in the past year, spending a total of a couple of hours there. My mapped blobs on Atlanta were much larger than the entire weeks I spent in Montana and Wyoming. The only way this makes sense is if the data is actually crowdsourced, which is exactly what Apple claims.
So I see little reason to disbelieve today's statements. (Unless you are inclined towards conspiracy theories, which an unfortunately high % of our population seem to be.)

Soon we will only have one OS called iOSX
OSX 10.7 has iOS features that were sent "Back to the Mac"
iOS is getting OSX apps (Photoshop, Garage Band, iMovie, Pages, Numbers, Keynote, Photo Booth.......)
OSX is getting apps originally designed for iOS
If you imagine iOS and OSX on a line
iOS......................|.....................OSX
They are moving in opposite directions toward each other.
......iOS................|..............OSX.......
Eventually, they will meet in the middle and we will have either 2 similar operating systems or simply a mix of the two.
I think Apple thinks that by taking the best of the two worlds they are creating a "better" user experience. I don't know if this is the case but I think that this is clearly the inevitable long-term outcome. Time will tell.
Yes, I want to have the same OS on my phone and my desktop.

I'm an Apple fan, but the truth has to be told: a) 3.5" is TOO small to be practical. I have a Motorola DEFY with a 3.7" display, and even then, the on screen keyboard is not large enough in portrait mode, at least 4 to 4.3" is vital.
Why not 5"? Or 6"? 4.3" is "vital?" I doubt most people desire a phone that's the size of an old-school PDA. I know I don't.
