Excellent. I am new in this cage..but I am proud to be here. I will definetly donate generously for 4 core for future lobbying. Also I would think..we need 2 avoid anti-immigration media such as CNN etc. I saw WSJ, Business Week, CNBC(Brian William news at 6.30), CNBC Maria, Washington post, New york time and some other local news paper helping us with covergae on this issue. We shouldn't be helping Lou dobb's kind of guys to boost his ratings. I decided to stay away from that chap!! and CNN. My case is transfered to from NSC to CSC on 09/07, California Service center.
I live in california, and my employer too in California.
Do you guys know the Fate of CSC transfred people like us.Will they transfer back to NSC..
Do you huys know any future cases like this wht we have current situation.

I am hearing a lot of cases of RFE. I experienced the same when my best friends case recvd an RFE. They asked all sorts of questions. After filing a reply, there was no update for over a month.
Eventually, her lawyer re-filed the case with same center, with same set of documents (every single document was the same) under premium processing.
The same center approved her H-1B in 3 days flat. No questions asked. I guess they are looking for a legal bribe of premium processing fees :D

what is mandatory?.....what happens if a person has to move 6 months after they file I-485.....aint they going to change their address??.....can we use AR-11 to do that?....there is no way I can wait for 4 years at my current place to get my green card in hand.....would appreciate any suggestions

Hello, since this is a thread on Canadian PR - I wanted to know if anyone had been through a similar situation.
I got my Canadian PR about a year ago. I went thru the landing process and obtained the PR cards from Toronto about a year back. After that I returned to the US - I work on a H1B here. I have not been to Canada since I got my PR. I need to go to Vancover to get my H1B stamping done. I intend to be in Canada for no more than 2/3 working days and return to the US.
My questions are:
- Will the Canadian immigration officers ask why I am making the trip to Canada?
- Can they revoke the PR status if they deem that I am making the trip solely to get the US stamping done?
- Do I need to apply for a travel permit, even though I have the plastic PR cards?
Your input will be appreciated.

The vermont service center says 2 months for h1b extensions, mine has been pending for 75 days, so i called the uscis today and guess what they told me, the processing times have been updated on teh web site but it is very difficult for us to follow them, i would suggest you wait for 90 days and see if there is any change in your online status if not call me back.
Then why do these people keep updating monthly processing dates if they cannot stick to their words.
I believe the processing times are just a gimmick to show progress to press....:mad:

I think it is useful to state search the forum so that people stop asking questions which really irritates other people since it has been discusses in detail in several threads. Let the guy ask. I see a couple of times somebody asking a question, and instead of answering people ask to search at the forum first....

Friends,
As I had indicated that I had admission to study for MBA in europe starting Sep/Oct 2007, looks like I have to drop it due to the GC process ( entangled)
My last discussion wirh Immi and employer drove the nail in the coffin.
I would appreciate any suggestion fromfolks like you.
Outcome:
I can quit the job and proceed for MBA at my risk ( leave spouse behind in the US in I-485 pending stage). If for example my PD ( July 2002 EB3 india) comes up during my absence in the US and if there is a RFE, my current employer WILL NOT provide a job offer so far into the future ( ie post Sep 2008). the least they said they can do is not pull labor and I-140 ( both approved and I-485 pending for 4 yrs)
Since I am in the Mechanical egnineering field , i dont know who to find , ( unlike adundant software body shoppers present) who will draft an offer in case of RFE.
I have few more weeks before I see this opportunity slip by.
Can anyone guess if the EB3- India PD will move to July 2002 or beyond before September 2008?
Any suggestion./directions will be appreciated... Around me i have no one who has even changed jobs , used AC21 etc.

I think it is unlikely that Eb3 date will reach July 2002 in next 1.5 years, if you see how long it was stuck in April 2001, I can expect the progress to be very very slow.

Anyone still not able to check online status for receipt number starts with SCR08007? It's been two weeks from the notice date.
Yes Sir...I am in the same situation...My Checks cleared on Oct 10, 2007 and I got my receipts on 10/16...Those receipts starting with SRC0800XXXXXX are not available online upto 10/22. But when I check status online on 10/22 afternoon...My and My Spouse EADs are approved and Cards Ordered. But rest of the Receipts still not available online.
