As a loyal reader of greatandhra.com shared a blasphemous incident with us through mail and we have written and uploaded that news yesterday. And that is about Lord Ganesh�s picture on beer bottles made by one of the US breweries.

Countless mails have inundated the mail box of greatandhra.com admin with sharing of anguish by hundreds of readers for this blasphemous act of that breweries company. They stated that they have contacted that Lost Coast Brewery with a complaint and also forwarded the response mails from that company. All the forwarded mails have got the same �copy-paste� response from Lost Coast GM/Sales. Here is that:
�Your words, thoughts and beliefs are part of a culture that I personally respect and believe that the owner group of the brewery share with me. Please note that I will act to evaluate this issue and meet directly with the owner group towards mitigating your concerns. The follow up on this incident requires continuous force and Hindu community should see that such blasphemy will not repeat again. And also ensure that those beer bottles are not in market with Lord Ganesh or any other divine picture of Hindu religion. Some suggested to make this news reach Sivasena, RSS and VHP as well. And we wish our readers do that as the voice of thousands will be louder than that of one.

I believe unless you filed I-485 under the revised fee structure last year, you need to pay for EAD and AP renewal every time you have to renew.
I'm renewing my wife's and my EAD through my attorney. We'll pay only this time for the new fee and then on will be free. Same is with AP. Pay once under the new fee, and then you can renew it for free. The only fee you'll pay is your attorney's, which you don't have to do. You can efile by yourself like many other people have done.

Folks here is the deal.
A lot of people are getting denials and forced to apply for MOTIC. It could be various factors.
As USCIS is doing background processing on cases trying to preprocess cases even if priority dates are not current there seems to be cases where people are getting denials when RFEs are supposed to be sent.
Things that trigger a denial in a straightforward case
(1) July 2007 filers - those who filed in August 2007 (the filing was open till August 17th)
(2) Immigration medicals - if not included - USCIS sent a circular that people can apply without medicals and will be later requested via RFE
(3) AC21 - employer revoke 140
None of the above should trigger a denial but looks like they are triggering a denial.
It could be that there is pressure to reduce backlog as economy is not good and we all know that immigrants are scapegoats in such situations.
It could also be a training issue for new staff.
As they are trying tom speed up processing - all they might be doing is - look at the file - if something is missing or something is not right - immediately deny the case.
MTRs should resolve these cases but it is a waste of money and unnecessary tension.

Say you want to search for all the work been done or being done on say "teapot". Normally you type in "teapot" in search bar and Google will dump millions of results. And those results would be screened objectively based on the search query i.e. "teapot". Is AILA doing anything about it? Do they need IV member support? How do we make it clear to the USCIS and Govt that targetting H1b and the free will of the employer to hire H1b is PURE SOCIALISM and anti-capitalism. It is a sure way of destroying the capitalistic engine that is keeping the US ahead. Is US becoming a restrictive economy like China? China is moving slowly but surely out of its old ways and becoming more and more open to capitalistic policies and we are finding the US slipping slowly but surely into protectionism and more socialistic principles.

This topic may be a bit counterproductive to what we've set to achieve as IVians but I hope folks see this in a true light. I could have set the title 'Return to Homeland', in my case its Return to India, hence the title.
I have been here for the past 9 years and as days progressed, my heart is back home. I may be closer than I ever was to get a GC but it seems I am to a point where I really want to give a shot to R2I. Reasons are several and are probably alike to several of yours. Family, Support and the whole other 9 yards..
That said, finding jobs back home while you are here in US seem not the easiest. I have seen a few in Google/Microsoft but I suppose there are many more. I am looking to return to Hyderabad. The reason why I am posting this here to is to seek help. If you or your friends work for companies that are looking for experienced managers to R2I, I would appreciate if you could post it here or PM me.
I am looking to R2I early next year but if the right opportunity comes along, I cud do it sooner than that. Thanks.

Thanks so much for your message. Let me list down what I have after the visa transfer to my current employer. Can you pls. help validate if I need anything else for me and my wife? You had mentioned something about I-539. This is what I have.
1. I-797A notice of action in my name. It says Case type - I129 Petition for non-immigrant worker. It says approval notice valid from 12/27/2006 to 12/25/2009.
2. I-797, notice of action in my wife's name. . It says Case type - I539 Application to extend / change nonimmigrant status. It says approval notice valid from 12/02/2007 to 12/25/2009.
Would appreciate very much if someone could help validate.

Hello all,
Recently I got my H1B stamped at Mumbai India, this was my
third H1B, and fifth US visa(I got two B1/B2s in addition). The
US Visa stamping process has been streamlined and better organized
than it was when I got my first one in 1999!:)
Process started with me paying visa fees upfront at HDFC bank.
after paying the fees, they will give two copies of the receipt,
one for you and one for the consulate.
Next step is to get yourself photographed. Every photo studio
in Bombay knows the specification now, so it was no problem.:)
Get digital copies of the photographs.
Next step is to go online and fill the application forms. One needs
to upload photographs and enter the fee payment receipt number
in the form. Once completed, print the application after saving.
The application form has a bar code, so please make no changes
after the printout, if you do one needs to take a fresh print.
The next step was to arrange an appointment for visa stamping
which can be done online, once appointment is fixed
one can go to the visa application center which is very
near the Consulate at Breach Candy. They will verify the application
and give you a confirmation of the appointment. Make sure
that you submit your application form at least three business
days before the visa appointment.
To avoid the morning hour traffic we checked into a hotel
near the consulate. The appointment was 10:30 AM, but we
reached the consulate at 10:00. The appointment confirmed
suggested we do not go to the consulate before 10:15, but
went ahead anyway. The security let us in. :) The consulate
was full of visa aspirants, and I braced myself for a long wait.
We submitted our application forms after getting our fingers
printed.
To my surprise, we were called for interview at around 10:10.
The consulate officer commented that I have already lived
in the US, to which I said yes. The question was repeated to
my wife, who also had a stint in the US. Then she asked me
what kind of work I will be doing in US. I gave a rather long
answer which I guess bored her a bit. My six year daughter
complained that it she is tired, the consular officer started
small talk with her. Then she said my passport will be sent
by courier. By 10:20 we were on our way back home.
We received our passports separately over the next 10 days.
surprisingly my daughter got hers within 2 days, but my
wife had to wait full 10 days!

So u are saying if she uses her EAD/ AP then my H1b is no longer valid? BTW she got her h1b visa in the lottery earlier this year.

Take infopass appointment, speak to IO and go from there. at the worst case, you will have to reapply and sit tight for 90 days.
Thanks, I actually called NSC and talked to the customer service (CSR) and she told me that it is USCIS policy to not give any duplicate/copy of this approval/card for something which has been sent but not returned ? How can i speak to the IO officer...can i ask her to transfer me to an IO officer? whom should i ask to open the service request (SR) with?

Yes, I am in the same Boat - My 485 was filed on July 19th but haven't received my receipt yet (485 filed at TSC)!
Guys, According to following URL, it seems that all july filers should get the RN by now irrespective of the processing centers. I am 24th July filer but still did not get the RNs so far. Are other ppl also in same boat? Please let me know. I am worried now.

You can take photo any where you want as long as you meet their photo specs.
If you have AAA membership try it... You will get it for free.
will any agent take photos or is there any specified location

It takes 1 or 2 days depending on the rush.
Can people share their experience with same day counter passport collection from the vfs courier center at Chennai.
Reason I ask is, I and my wife have a 9AM appointment on 14th August. And Aug 15th being a holiday on account of India's Independence Day. Since we have to be in US on the 16th August to file for I485, getting the visa on the 16th would be too late. Therefore, it's critical that we collect the passport the same day.
Is anyone else in a similar situation? Should I inform the consular of our same night travel plans or is that ill-advised?
